Our Ethos

We believe that for a child to have a valuable learning experience, it is essential to build a supportive community of parents/carers who can extend the Montessori approach outside of the classroom. We aim to deepen a family’s connection to the natural world and we celebrate the diversity of culture in creative and authentic ways.

what we do

birth to three years

Our Montessori inspired Forest School is designed to be a space where parents and children can gain their first positive experience in a educational setting. For many families that become part of our community, the parents gain just as much as the child in terms of friendship and support. At Meadow Education we ask you to trust yourself as a parent, to trust your child and to trust us. A child’s mental and emotionally wellbeing is paramount in everything we do and we are acutely aware of the importance of love and nurture in a child’s early years. The first three years of a child’s life is known as the absorbent period. This is when children are like sponges and we prepare beautiful learning experiences for them to flourish.

"The first essential for the child’s development is concentration. The child who concentrates is immensely happy."

— Maria Montessori

our approach

The reason why we follow and implement a Montessori philosophy and practise is because it provides children with an opportunity to reach their potential. We can grow to be stewards who know how to treat themselves, each other and the earth with love and respect. We want to help raise children that will notice the beauty in the ordinary, that will be able to recognise the powers of a Dandelion or take pleasure in watching raindrops fall on a pond, or simply to be curious and motivated to learn more about whatever their particular interests are throughout their lives.

We want children to know what Love is; how to show it, how to receive it and what unconditional love feels like. We are at a very important point in history where we need to equip our children to simultaneously be strong and resilient, but also tender and caring. At Meadow Eduction we feel that our approach can provide a solid foundation for children and their families to lead a healthy and happy life.
