Monday 17th February - Thursday 20th February, 10am-3pm

This time around we will be working with the children on a number of different activities to understand and explore the concept of kindness and love. By this we mean, we will be practising and discussing love for ourselves - in terms of diet, sleep, healthy friendships, time in nature, being creative etc.

We will then expand the concept to how we show love to the people we know, during this part of the camp, we will be making our own Lockets and writing letters and/or making pieces of artwork as gifts to people who we would like to our express our love to.

As we have all witnessed in the news, via friends and from social media, we have learnt about how fires and natural disasters can cause people and animals a lot of suffering. To show our compassion and care we will be writing letters and drawing pictures to children in Australia via a school link we have and children that live in Brazil, in the Amazon region, via the charity, Amazon Watch. We will hold this in a very sensitive way to not frighten or worry the children but to show empathy and care to others in the world.

There will be also activities involving seed planting for our allotment and safely practising our outdoor fire lighting skills.

We look forward to welcoming back children who have visited previously and new children alike.
